  • What time does The Pavilion at Weatherly open on Wedding/Event day? What time does it close?
    The Pavilion at Weatherly opens at 9am the day of your wedding or special event and closes at 10 pm. All music must be off by 10pm. Our Premier Reception Package allows for a 7 hour window of time. 6 hours from the start of your event to the end of the celebration and 1 hour for clean up. A two hour window of time will also be given on a day before your event to hold a ceremony rehearsal. During the 2 hours allowed for rehearsal, you are welcomed to bring decorating supplies to be stored overnight (at clients risks). This helps to get ahead start to decorating when the Venue opens at 9:00 am the day of the event. Please feel free to inquire if you have additional questions regarding your event set up.
  • What time do the suites open the wedding day and do they cost an additional fee?
    Our Waterfront Wedding Venue offers 2 Dressing Suites and both are included in the Premium Rental Price Suite #1 The Carolina Room, Opens 9am-Start of ceremony. Suite #2 The Potomac Room Opens 12pm-Start of ceremony
  • Is the house on the property open to my guests?
    The house is a private residence. With the exception of the 2 dressing suites, the house is not open to the wedding guests or the public. Thank you for understanding.
  • What is the maximum number of guests you can accommodate?
    The Pavilion at Weatherly can accommodate up to 200 guests comfortably. We included all the tables and chairs as well as the set-up and beak down of all for up to 200 guests.
  • What are your COVID policies?
    To ensure the health and safety of our guests, the staff at The Pavilion is staying apprised of all developments regarding recent COVID regulations. As guidelines change so do our policies. When discussing your date, we will walk you through these guidelines.
  • Do you provide the Paper products and supplies needed for the Guest Restrooms and ADA Restroom?
    Yes, We stock all paper products and hand soaps needed for the Deluxe 6 stall Restroom Trailer as well as the ADA Restroom provided as well. We will maintain, restock and tidy-up the bathrooms throughout the event. Many clients elect to provide guests with an amenities basket in each bathroom to add a personal touch to the day.
  • Does The Waterfront Pavilion at Weatherly Farm book more than one event on the same day?
    No, we only allow one event per day. That day on our property is devoted solely to your event. We also allow a 2 hour window of time to have a wedding rehearsal a day before. It's your special day, and we treat it with the care and attention that you deserve.
  • Do you provide on-site Catering? Do you provide alcohol? Can we bring our own alcohol?
    Yes, we are proud to partner with several Full Service Caterers.Our list of caterers have been vetted and selected based on the highest standards of food quality and originality, service to the client both before and during the event. Each one offers an array of style and pricing. Our exclusive Bartenders will provide you with the just the right amount of alcohol needed for your event and will credit back any unused alcohol. Our Preferred Catering and Bartender List will be provided upon contract signing.
  • Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, silverware, flatware, and napkins?"
    We provide all Tables and Chairs needed for both ceremony and reception and include set up and breakdown of them as well. Linens, silverware, flatware, and napkins are provided through the Preferred caterers.
  • Who is responsible for cleaning tables and removing trash?
    Our Caterers and The Pavilion at Weatherly staff members will assist with collecting and removing all trash. Our included full trash service also includes trash cans and liners placed amongst the Pavilion area and maintained through out your event.
  • Does the Pavilion have Wi-Fi for the D.J. or Photo Booth?
    The Pavilion does have a limited Wi-Fi connection for use
  • My photographer or videographer would like to bring a drone. Is this permitted?
    Drones are welcome on the property and must be flown with in the property boundaries. Our location is within the limits of drone usage, however, drone operators must have an FAA license to operate and fly the drone on premises.
  • Is there Parking available?
    Yes, we have extensive available parking. The Pavilion at Weatherly friendly staff will be on hand to park your guests beginning one hour prior to the start time of your event. Our venue has plenty of parking and ample space for large shuttle buses as well
  • Is there nearby lodging for out-of-town guests?
    Yes, many guests arriving in town for events held at Weatherly Farm have taken advantage of accommodations located in the nearby town of La Plata, Maryland, as well as hotels just south of Weatherly Farm in nearby King George, Virginia. We can recommend a few AirB&B's as well. Although we provide ample parking for your guests, many clients that have a large out of town guest list, elect to arrange shuttle transportation and a block of hotel rooms. Please contact the Virtual Event Assistance Team for further assistance.
  • Are pets allowed to take part in my special day?
    We do allow for pets to take part in your special day, however they must be up to date on all vaccinations. Accommodations need to be made for the pet prior to the ceremony, as pets are not allowed in the private residence. We also allow for horse drawn carriages on premises. Please be considerate and pick up after any pets or animals.
  • How does the venue handle inclement weather?
    Our Events are held rain or shine. With the addition of the Pavilion, wedding ceremonies can be relocated underneath the pavilion. With the convenience of weather resistance sidewalls and a sealed concrete floor to help deter rain and wind from impacting your day, the ceremony can be held in front of the large stoned fireplace. We will monitor the weather conditions closely and work with the client the day of the event.
  • I have unfortunately decided to cancel my wedding event, Are you able to refund my deposit?"
    Unfortunately, deposits and all payments made to date are non-refundable. We close this date to future bookings upon receipt of a deposit and signed contract. A one-time-only date change within the same year is acceptable when done 180 days or more prior to the event date. Thank you for understanding this policy.
